I’m Shammi, a speaker, facilitator and equity consultant helping schools and organisations turn values into visible, sustainable action.
About
I’m an experienced Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and organisational culture consultant, keynote speaker, and national education adviser with over 20 years of leadership and consultancy experience.
My work focuses on helping schools, trusts, and organisations turn good intentions into bold, sustainable action — from developing anti-racism strategies and inclusive recruitment practices to building faith literacy and culturally intelligent leadership. I combine lived experience with deep expertise to support cultures where people feel seen, heard, and able to thrive.
My journey began in secondary education, teaching Religious Education with a focus on Philosophy, Ethics, and Islamic thought. Since then, I’ve advised national education bodies, local authorities, and universities — including UCL, King’s College London, NATRE, OCR, and Oak National Academy — and served on the advisory board for the Children’s Commissioner for England. I’ve also delivered training for hundreds of senior leaders and educators across the UK.
Above all, I’m driven by a commitment to honest dialogue, practical impact, and supporting people to lead lasting change with confidence and care.
